SMALL FAMILY BUSINESSES FOREVER DESTROYED | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
why have Wal-mart, Target, Costco, etc. all allowed to be open this whole time, while ONLY small shops, restaurants, "mom & pop" stores, etc. been forced to close and go out of business.

All the real relief went to corporations, while small businesses had to justify every cent they received, leaving most of them out of luck and without resources to weather the storm. Large businesses benefited almost immediately from the increase in market share this gave them. Catastrophes always favor the strong, especially in the business world. During Covid, my Large Cap portfolio almost doubled...76% gain in one year, and that in a recession.

The Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution requires just compensation when the state meaningfully interferes with an owner’s chosen lawful use of his property.

I know plenty of small businesses who made it through. That is what the stimulus was for. Not everyone ran out and bought a new Lambo or Ak with their stimulus. Some actually used it to pay bill's, and survive.
