It’s past time for solutions that fundamentally improve conditions for African-Americans, not burying the story and acting shocked next time it happens.

On the flip side, this whole rioting after an election thing is totally new in American history. Is Trump going to set a new norm in this regard? Will the losing side now riot in every election going forward or is it just a Republican thing?

He didn’t hang up his spurs and call it a day after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (that bill white conservatives seem eager to treat as a “Mission Accomplished” moment). Hillary cheated Bernie out of the nomination. She staffed the DNC with her own people which meant Bernie and the others never stood a chance against her. Had 2016 been a fair primary, Bernie most likely would have won, and go on to defeat Trump and become President.
