What part was I deflecting? The logic sounded like because it doesn’t work 100% you can’t call it a vaccine? Or did you take offense that I pointed out coronavirus is not influenza?
I am not sure that really is as strong of an argument as you think it is. The vaccine is supposed to help one protect against getting covid or at least getting seriously ill. Maybe if he hadn't received the vaccine he might have become seriously ill, we won't know that now. Also even if you go as far as saying a vaccine doesn't work on everyone at the same level, you can't call it a vaccine? You really appear to be an all-or-nothing kind of person.
Again does taking an additional shot make it not a vaccine? You take boosters for other viruses. Or what is your magic time period in between boosters that qualifies it to be called vaccine? Have you asked your doctor if he/she considers it a vaccine? Do you even see a doctor?
When we're kids and get vaccine shots, we do have to take 1 booster shot between 1 month or 6 months and then you're vaccinated for life, why does the COVID vaccine not vaccinate you against COVID for your life?
Well, I guess since you are supposed to get boosters for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis every 10 years, they aren't "vaccines." I am really glad we had this back and forth, I hope you learned as much as I did.
Good point. Because the tetanus shot is not a vaccine, like the flu shot that a lot people get every year is also not a vaccine, but helps prevent from catching the flu. Maybe the government shouldn't brand the COVID shot as a "vaccine" since the apparent effectiveness that is being suggested is that Americans get a COVID shot every year. If it is effective for 95% prevention, that seems very high and people should feel pretty confident with those results and not afraid of catching COVID.
This smells of deflection. I think you need a deflection vaccine. Again and again and again. These other viruses often require boosters, why are they called vaccine? Shouldn’t you be immune on the first dose using your logic. I apologize if this hurts your head.
