I read one of the articles trying to justify the sale and all the alleged "safeguards" in place... none of which stops the Buyer from knowing it's an 'Original Hunter', meaning the buyers know exactly where their money will end up (even if it has to sit in a vault, literal or metaphorical, for a year or 2)
nd then there is the 'appraisals' setting the alleged value upwards of Half a Million... for a living artist who who only recently 'discovered his passion' but sure 6 figures is reasonable, yeah right...
but, lets say the work is 'worth' 500K... what stops two patrons from getting into (staging) a bidding war elevating said price where does that 'extra' money go...
