You were military and you heard much worse. The meme was not about insulting vets it was a reminder that our forefathers were tougher and went through more than we did. Our nation's military is a shell of what it was. Politics and service should never mix, it doesn't help anyone.

Politics and service have NEVER BEEN MIXED. The troops do not care if the person in the trenches is trans. They already have been training with them for a long time, and they have trust. If they didnt have it, they would have already dealt with it.

You obviously have never held a post with a French troop, who is rationed a bottle of wine on shift. You're issued a m-16, sidearm, and a radio.

I never served with a trans, gays yes and although we still talked a lot of trash we really did not care. I still don't but that doesn't change my mind that today's military is overly political and weak. Not because of alternate lifestyles, sex, gender or any of that but weak mentally, physically and unmotivated. I blame our softer lifestyles and culture. The military is only as strong as its weakest link and there are plenty of those.
