[image deleted] Just to be clear, your solution is to put as many kids into charter and private schools as possible, which on average are more expensive than public schools, so you'll have to spend even MORE money on education, plus you'll still have to pay for all the public schools because most people will still be stuck in the public school system anyway. So you basically wind up spending even more on education and only a handful of people will come out better for it, assuming that the problems in public schools don't just go with those kids to the charter/private schools. Remind me again why I have to propose a better solution? Because just doing nothing is still a better proposal than yours. But I'll humor you and give you my solution: Stop telling our kids they must pursue a college degree to be successful (vastly reduces the demand for college, making college cheaper and eliminating the need for most college debt), stop forcing kids to participate in classes that they don't care about and are failing (reduces classroom sizes and frees up those classes for those who actually have an interest in the subject), and push our kids who don't care about school to either take an apprenticeship, start a business, or just enter the workforce (gets teens into the workforce faster and experience the real world; apprenticeships get you into well paying careers such as electrician, plumber, or coding/web developer). Boom. Less student loans being taken out, smaller classroom sizes for those interested in what high school or college offers, people with some skill but don't see a need for high school going into apprenticeships and getting good careers that are in demand, and people who just don't care can enter the workforce and get on with life. Not to mention the millions of dollars saved from not keeping kids locked up in classes they don't care about forced to learn facts they will most likely never use again because they were fed a lie by society that you absolutely must have a college degree to succeed in life.
