Correct. However, this particular strain was novel and inordinately virulent... that's why it's Cause Respiratory-tract Infection attack was SUPER effective against such a large portion of humanity.
THAT SAID... Fauci being brought in by the last administration as an expert was a mistake; believing Fauci after his third waffle was a mistake; all of the lockdown bullshit (beyond two weeks - Hell, I'll be generous and say one month) was a mistake; printing money to give to people to make up for the previous mistakes was a mistake; the current administration continuing to listen to Fauci is a mistake; printing even MOAR money to make up for EVERYTHING is a F**KING mistake; Fauci not being thrown in a stock set up in Death Valley is... yet another mistake. Unfortunately, finding enough lumber to fit everyone who deserves to be in said stocks will be difficult since the price of wood is now in super-inflation territory. There's still the 'bury them up to their necks' option, I suppose.
