What is the actual rate of crime against people NOT involved themselves in come from of criminal activity? Including minor crimes. Take that out of the statistics and you'll have the number of people hurt by unprovoked gun violence. Those are the people we should focus on helping. The others we should focus on hurting and putting away.

No, criminals still have guns in those cities because they can take the bus for forty minutes to a jurisdiction that sells them much easily!



Not because they have magical criminal buying powers! I never understood how you guys think that shit works. In countries where guns are ACTUALLY more difficult to get, black market costs are so high that your everyday street gang criminal wouldn't be able to afford one much less risk losing it by carrying it with them on the street.

I never understand how you guys claim that prohibition never works (booze, drugs, abortion, fill-in-the-blank) except when it comes to guns. When it comes to guns the more that you can prohibit them the better you think that will work.

That’s ridiculous criminals don’t pay for it. They steal fro you to pay for it or they steal yours. They will pat whatever is necessary.

Think about this: Chicago is one of the most restrictive cities in the U.S. on guns. Yet, their crime rates are through the roof. The same can be said of New York. Restrictive on guns, high on crime. In the end, it’s simple. If you make it harder or impossible for citizens to defend themselves, they will become helpless to crime such as muggings, murder, and robbery. Criminals will always find a way to do bad things weather that mean buying guns from the black market or other criminals off the street, or using a rusty fork to kill. The police can’t save you, because in the end, they simply can’t get there in time. It takes more than 5 minutes for police to get to your home often. And it only takes seconds for a criminal to kill you. When civilians don’t have guns, they are prayed upon.
