Hah, it's probably a drive-by-wire system, where there isn't a real steering column. They can switch control to either side in software.

don't know what video you watched...try this one (scroll to bottom for video) - it is in slow motion and clearly shows passenger has a turning device, shows joe turning steering but not wheels...
