As well as Tom Perez the Chairman of the Democrtic National Committee stating Socialism is the future of the Democratic Party. Actually, everything in your reply is incorrect. I've just looked it up. Tom Perez said what the REPUBLICAN PARTY calls socialism (which is always hyperbolic and never actually approaches real socialism) is the future of the party. A lot of right-wing news outlets have their hair on fire over policies they deem socialist which, if we're being honest, would be considered right-wing policies to the most European countries.

The fact is, the Republican party has pushed this country so far to the right, that any reasonable reform gets called "socialist" before it even has a chance to be explained. Even Republican ideas adopted by democrats get called socialist - that's what happened to the ACA (modeled off of a similar program Mitt Romney championed).
