My point was many dems don't pray period, and even if they did, they'd have to pray out loud for anyone to know what they're praying about, as well as have said vocalized prayers wind up in the news or otherwise online... and "wanting it" instead of praying for it poses similar problems.... They have to "want" it out loud and make it public.
...Or they could publicly denounce Bill Maher's comments.... which I see Tony Posnanski did on Twitter.
If you want other data about this, a Huffpost/YouGov poll found 72% of Dems were NOT hoping for a recession during the trump presidency.
I personally remember making the analogy that trump is like a drunk driver driving the bus of America.. anyone on the bus hoping for it to crash to make him look bad would be a bit crazy.
