Good post! Maybe then I will have to explain to them that they said that the climate was changing to a very hot one.....and some even stated in all sincerity that there will be no snow after about 2015....that all the glaciers will melt....that most of the Arctic's and the Antarctic snow and ice will be gone, that snow will be a thing of the past that no child would be experiencing what they are experiencing today: snow! Their words and not mine!
You obviously do not know Trump supporters then....how sad! Too much CNN indoctrination! If it was up to me then I would immediately ban every type of plastic....except those for sensitive machinery or technology where there are no substitutes. But it is not up to me is it....that is your president's job....the one that you had voted for....biden! Do what you can to make him sign that bill and I...along with those Trump supporters will be backing him all of the way! I know of no Trump supporter who wants plastics dumped into the ocean! Besides that, you obviously do not know where the plastics that are in the ocean are coming from! It is NOT from the Western World but rather from Asia and Africa.

Look, I'm happy that at least you and a couple more Trump supporters have sense. But if it's coming from Asia and Africa, then why is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch RIGHT next to California?
That has to do with the Ocean currents....that is just where they pool and end up in an ever-growing island of plastic. Remember that Japanese tsunami? Well, that waste is also washing up in Cali now and much more is twirling around in that plastic trap also. I had thought that that was common knowledge.
