There are a few problems with this church lol
Kind atheists are not closer to Jesus because they don't even acknowledge His existence. Mean Christians aren't likely to be close to Him either.
Jesus was Middle-Eastern, not black. Middle-Eastern people didn't look black, white or asian back then (though they probably looked closer to asian)
Jesus did help the poor but He also had wealthy supporters, like Joseph of Arimathea for example. He didn't ban wealth, although He did encourage people to give money and help to the poor. Which we should all do individually.
Also popes aren't the final authority on what the Bible says and means. They used to have monks and nuns who were forbidden from marriage, a charge the Bible never gave.
I won't get into wearing masks, since that doesn't have anything to do with church integrity, but i wouldn't use the term "pro-life" for it.
And finally, the answer to racism is to not be racist, because you can either be racist or not be racist. Anti-racism is often just either racism justified because it's in reverse, or narcissists not minding their business, and being willing to call someone a racist for saying something that COULD be an insult. It's weird that we think we should be the bastions of goodness and make those who don't think equally of everybody suffer appropriately. I am not racist but i think it's a weird obsession to be scouring for racists and trying to blot them out, because just like in Russia under Stalin, we'll punish people for things they didn't do. And that is an idea the church should totally oppose.
