Basically take political rallies, tv commercials, campaign events and toss them all out. As a voter, you only see what the person running wants to accomplish and you vote for that. When its all said and done, you see who you voted for based on policy. Not based on a person or face or name.

Personally I'd like to be in a country where 600K of my countrymen hadn't been casually murdered by neglect, without homelessness, and where medical care won't bankrupt me. We are an authoritarian police state where the cops murder ppl nonstop, real wages have been stagnant for a half century, and everything a sane govt provides has been privatized and comes with a mountain of debt. Water debt, school lunch debt, student loan debt, medical debt, court cost and ticket/fine/fee debt, private prisons, etc. You have a serious case of hegemonic common sense (full internalization of the ideology of worshiping a system which tramples its citizens and doesn't give 1/4 of a damn about you). I agree that no one should be homeless and the unused housing stock is far greater than the homeless population. It is kept that way so that everyone is kept on the brink of extreme poverty if they lose a job.

Murder - in the US Justice system involves INTENT. Meaning you meant to Kill the other person and planned to do so.

Officers involved in activities while on duty are doing their job, then have crap people not listen to their authoritative commands, and then in a less than 1 percent of those situations, end up killing someone.
