They barely made it out of high school. They're bad at math.

They're never gonna figure that out.

This is the same argument as “tax the rich to give to the poor” argument. It won’t work, it will fall apart, people won’t want to work, and so on. This nation will fall in shambles if we do.

Like Australia? Or Canada? Or any other successful country? Shambles? Really?

Canadá has turned into a dictatorship. A pack of lies. They’re a lost cause, so yes they are in shambles.

You could literally visit so many different countries with universal healthcare. Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway, etc. None of them are in shambles, in fact, some of them are even more prosperous than the US. If you think they are communist dictatorship, then that's a lie you've been spoon-fed by fox news. If you move to England, for example, you would probably adjust quite well (If you leave out cultural differences).

But the issue with universal healthcare is that everything is on a strict schedule, and taxes are astronomically high. and you have to wait a few days in canada.

You say taxes would be astronomically high, but you would pay less in taxes than you currently do through insurance, as the above meme points out. Although waiting times are often increased, it means that poor people can have access to things like ambulances. Politicians like to tell you that if you pay more, you get better quality healthcare, but in this case it is incorrect, The US has a worse standard of healthcare the British NHS, which is often used as an example to demonstrate the flaws of public healthcare. The government also has enough leverage to get companies to decrease prices, and private insurance companies do not.

My glasses broke and I had to wait a month for an optometrist appointment -- and I'm insured. Tell me again how terrible socialized medicine is?

Because you rely on the government too much. that's how bad it is. they control everything if they achieve it. Also you have to worry about inflation, cause that kind of healthcare is TAXPAYER funded. Not government funded, taxpayer funded. then the dollar is gonna go to waste by this, and they can skyrocket the price of medicine. take joe biden striking against fat people on day one. the price of insulin rose. and once you go down that road, politically, there's no going back. Lots of doctors don't like socialized medicine. and that's another step to achieving borderline communism.

Well, we actually pay more for medical care than people in countries with socialized medicine do. I don't just mean that we pay more out of pocket -- all the medical care costs more.

Here's an example about the cost of delivering a baby:
