He said and I quote, "You can't be angry when a scientist confirms that gravity pulls downward at -9.8 meters per second squared."

What he meant to say is that gravity pulls downward at 9.8 m/s/s. If gravity was pulling down with a negative number... an object would be accelerating up. Had he simply said "that gravity pulls at -9.8 meters per second squared," he would've been correct but because he included downward; he basically said the equivalent of "ATM Machines"

To be fair, that's a mistake made on a level that most of us wouldn't even begin to know was wrong. Given the number of typos we see in publications (which are still used as sources), I don't think that's really a good attack avenue against the article.

(I didn't read it myself, because I'm tired of all this election BS, but that stuck out to me.)

the government (is supposed) to work for us. we the people. sure, we can respect them (the current and former administrations don't deserve any respect, they serve themself) but there needs to be a healthy level of fear of the people (the fear being they must perform well in order to be reelected.)

Sounds right now all we need is for someone to actual do this
