most Muslims are "white" in that they are Caucasian. When I was a child there were 3 races: Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and Negroid. Aborigine people, although very dark, were considered Caucasoid.

Then they added American/Alaskan Indian/Native as well as Pacific Islander which then included Australian aborigines, Polynesians, Melanesians, and Indonesians.

Middle Eastern people (AND DEFINITELY Syrian) people....regardless of religion...are Caucasian, and by inference..."WHITE."

Segmenting people into more and more ways doesn't bring us together.

I think if we start debating "Who is white?" we've already kind of lost our minds. Whiteness is not that quantifiable except as a matter of social privilege (which is very real and damaging).

The racists will tell you that the Arabs, Jews and Iranians/Persians aren't white, but that Armenians are . . . or aren't . . . It's remarkably stupid. Wherever you draw the line, someone is caught in the middle.

And yet, until our society gets over its racism, whiteness is a real factor that hurts people.

According to ‘White’ Americans, all Muslims must apologize for terrorist acts by some Muslims. Blacks must apologize for all crimes committed by some blacks. All Chinese must apologize for COVID. But when it comes to mass shootings by a white man, it’s not time to talk about it. Must be nice to demand of others that you would not demand of yourself
