Do you know anything about statistical significance? Blacks make up 13-14% of the population, yet when you look at all crime statistics, they make up disparate percentages of nearly all crimes. Arson is one of the few exceptions to this rule. The fact that blacks grow up in poverty at a much higher rate than other races is a huge contributing factor in this, but there's no way to say whether or not blacks would commit equal to or less crime if they grew up outside of these high poverty areas. It's certainly, possible, but we'll never truly know. So, to answer your questions, I'm aware of those general numbers, but you are not taking into account who is committing the most crime, per capita. That is all that matters. If one group of people commit murder and carry guns at nearly 10X the rate of other races, would you not be more wary of those people? I certainly would, but only because I'm a human being with a strong sense of self-preservation.
Also, you do realize that the coroner that did the post mortem signed off that Floyd had enough Fentanyl in him to have caused death, right? So, if someone is already so doped-up that they could die alone from that overdose of a drug cocktail, is it not fair to say that the physical restraint issued would not have caused death had this person not have overdosed in such a dramatic way? Perhaps, perhaps not. We shall never truly know. Cops can be a little over the top at times, even way over the top, but they rarely go out looking to kill anyone. That is almost certainly the case here, as Office Chauvin was not known for killing anyone.
This country is not perfect, but it's a whole hell of a lot better than 90%+ of the rest of the world. Our racism problems are nothing compared to just about every other country on the face of the Earth.
