I had this argument with someone on facebook last year. This guy was talking about his adoptive kids and how all the racism was damaging them for life.
I told him that the most damaging person in their lives was him. He should make sure that they're informed about those things and not sheltered from them, because when his kids reach adulthood and he isn't there to protect them - the world will tear them to shreds for not being prepared to handle it.
I am SOOO sorry , I beg the Turks forgiveness - I shall call my future Turkey sandwiches " large chicken sandwiches" in solidarity with the turks. ( now I will have to find an alternate way to describe my triple layer chicken sandwiches..) :D
I love how my sandwich comment morphed the conversation this direction. Suddenly I'm hungry.

I can get down with colby jack, pepper jack if you like a kick - being in the heart of Chicago, I can get my hands on some good cheeses. I just gotta dodge all the bullets. lol
that is usually my response to being called a racist, sandwich and a nap ;D You know I got this other kid telling me how hurtful slurs are , so I asked him if he ever got his nose broke or his bell rung in a fight, I told him that hurts, getting ribs cracked after a kick hurts.. words don't hurt. I said the word "midget" and he flagged me lmfao
That’s just because you are overly sensitive looking to be offended. You scan the world for things to be offended at. It defines you and is all you have.
I mean, you weren’t a racist in that scenario. However, young kids getting exposed to racism may think that it is okay, or worse, do it themselves. What the father needed to do was explain to them that racism and using words like the r word is wrong.
ME AND MY FRIENDS GREW UP WITH THIS SAYING; "STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES BUT WORDS WILL NEVER HURT ME"; YOURS GREW UP WITH "WORDS HURT ME BECAUSE I AM SO WEAK"
