But it's $1400 per adult under like $80K and per kid. And the kid tax credit was expanded to $3K per kid. Instead of having to wait until next year, that credit is split out into 10 payments.

So, a family of 4 would get $1400 for each adult and both kids. And then every month get $600. Oh, and they added $300 to unemployment, which was extended out to September.

That's pretty significant for a family scrapping by.

The $300 per kid is significant. That's a car payment for a good car. Having access to a good car means being able to drive to get a job. Or it could mean quitting that 2nd part time so they can work on improving skills to get a better job.

That's important.

But, yeah, it needs to be more.

So you don’t know what is in the bill. Try focusing on the entire bill and not the relief payment. Both Trump and Biden asked for $2k. Republicans limited Trumps to $600. Many Democrats wanted to give the people another $2k on top of that, but settled for $1400 after some wanted even less. Biden got what he could just like Trump did.

Now go read about the child poverty portion of the bill and tell me Biden did less. Then go read about the additional funding to schools and tell me Biden did less. Want me to go on?

I still have tons of student debt (which biden said he would forgive 50K of and then abandoned cuz he is a coward and a liar). The US child poverty line is 12K for a family of 4 and has not been raised in ages. Reducing child poverty by half according to that standard is PATHETIC. It's like the minimum wage. when the govt refuses to adjust it upwards, that doesn't change the fact that 7.25 and hour is not sufficient as a minimum wage and the level for child poverty should be like 3 to 4 times as high.
