More like a nightmare.

Well, think about it this way, lets say your mom owned that house, which she bought for $12,000 back in 1965. Now she is selling it for $1.4 million to some rich hipster family. And also, the AVERAGE WAGE in Cali is $24 an hour as opposed to $7 in Florida. Also, our houses can withstand earthquakes, your houses get BLOWN DOWN BY HURRICANES....or fall down for no particular reason. Now cry to mama, little buford.

You can't talk about hurricanes when you got wild fires and earthquakes hitting you back to back. Energy dependency from other states. I seen houses in Cali selling for more than half a million that I will not pay more than 72k. What you think is good, is actually bad. Cali is over inflated cost of living makes anyone in the lower and middle class hard to live. This inflation comes from 1) too many illegals driving rent and housing cost up, 2) increase of minimum wage and policies set on businesses. You can have a MUCH better standard of living elsewhere that houses are not so expensive and they have a reasonable cost of living. People in Cali started picking that up... and moving out as anyone with a brain would.

Yo, just a couple of questions for someone who acts on the side and is always keeping an eye out on opportunities to jump on a gig in LA:

- What are some good jobs that offer flexible hours and allow you to make enough to scrape by? I initially thought DoorDash and/or Uber would be possibilities since I have a sedan (which seems a good vehicle for LA based off the one time I drove through there), but have no clue what they make.

- Got any good local knowledge on what parts of town offer the best apartment living options? Obviously low cost is better, but I don't want to think I've scored and then get murdered or carjacked because town was too shady, if you get what I mean.

(And to be clear, I'm currently pursuing other career plans...however I love acting as a side gig and always keep my eye out for a compelling reason to even consider making the jump. For all the grief I give California's government it really is a cool state and I'd love to call it home if I can do so without becoming a homeless bum.)

According to DHHS and NIH, Florida has far more contamimated water that California,,especially for the several months after a hurricane. There is no bad water in Cali, it comes from snow melt, thats really cold stuff that falls from the sky. Like sno cones.

They do not need to pay high wage if you can afford the essentials with the wage you have. What good does it do to you making 24$ an hour when half of that goes to taxes, then a good section of it goes to your therapist that helps you cope with the stress, and then the overpriced everything in California? When you do the math, you are making a LOT less than the people in Florida. And that is why, we get lots of Californians doing mass exodus to Texas and Tennessee, I got like 3 neighbors that just moved from LA just in my block, and boy they are so glad they did, you should hear the nasty things they have to say about Cali... California has the best schools,( from Pre-K to Grad school), in the nation. Florida has the 2nd worst schools, after texas, in the nation.
