If I can create a law to stop corrupt politicians, It would be a law requiring the national government to create a branch of the government that will specialize in doing secret surveillance of all politicians, politicians found accused will be then delivered to the court, Once found guilty politicians are required to pay 2x the money they steal...

I think this is a potentially good idea, but the branch must be nonpartisan rather than bipartisan.

Anti lobbying and no super pac money, actually enforce the law when they commit a crime or punish governmental bodies when they fail to react based on evidence. Term limits and advance transparency to internal affairs departments and Salary caps lol. Avoid hiring those who use “umm errr and ahhh” a lot in speech and have expectations of charisma and confidence.

There is no reason to govern justly anymore when injustice is excused and rewarded in the revolving door of politics, corporations and media. When the stereotype that mainly slimy lairs that are power hungry hypocrites want to be politicians, you’ve already lost and the system is toxic. If you don’t participate and have integrity and standards, your doomed to be ruled by those who don’t possess heightened qualities.

the solution to anything is never more laws. the philosophy that recognizes abused law systems, but prescribes more and more control is called Keynesianism.

I would also add that as laws are passed, it removes the need for responsible action and behavior in the people which it is directed (that is largely why many oppressed countries don't know how to handle their new found freedom).
The constitution was written in such a simple yet confusing and impossible way that, for the longest time, it frustrated the many attempts at tyranny. Lately, since the peoples views of the governments purpose have changed and the constitution done away with, we have gained many unnecessary entanglements with the governments hand in our personal lives (welfare healthcare schools etc. etc.). that has allowed for much more power on their side and a hopeless weakness of the people. By instituting more laws we would be giving more power to someone, and it wouldn't be the people.

Responsibility has greatly diminished and been surrendered from the people to the government. Responsibility, though a burden, is power.

Just impose term limits...make it really hard for any politician to remain in office to push of endless agendas that don't help anyone other than themselves to stay in office. If it's good enough for the president of the US, it's good enough for anyone.

Term limits for politicians without term limits for lobbyists would be counterproductive.

Except I don't think Oprah would actually go for term limits...but you get the idea. I lean pretty heavy libertarian, so I just don't like government period...lol.

For politicians here in the U.S., two changes immediately come to mind: 1. completely banning the practice of tackng on pork barrel spending to proposed Bills and 2. setting term limits for Congress and Senate members.
