Energy can't be created or destroyed, but the Big Bang is where energy is created, and the end of the world theory is where energy is destroyed

The Big Bang creating energy is just a theory, there are other theories. Science, unlike religion, involves constantly asking questions, updating knowledge and exploring possibilities. It doesn't make bold claims based on no evidence and refuse to accept that it might be wrong. Science does not claim to know everything.

Ok, well, the gist of it is that babies are made from an incredibly long and complex series of cellular divisions nurtured over nine months, and the energy in the universe was compressed into a singularity at the point of the Big Bang - the energy wasn't created, it was merely expanded.

But that really is the back of the envelope explanation. You should really be taking classes in this - it takes YEARS to go over this material in proper detail.

I'm not familiar with your school assignment - that's on you - but I comment in relation to your OP:

"where did the singularity come from" makes as much sense to ask as "where did God come from". Asking what made the singularity is like asking what made God. It is largely a nonsense question. It is a nonsense meme.
