Most of the world still lives in poverty. The reduction in poverty over the past few decades can be largely attributed to China (not a free market capitalist country).

That is because most of the world is socialist or communist. Both of which create mass poverty.

Oh my goodness. Socialism IS an economic system. More so than communism, fascism and Nazism. Socialism is the foundation of all of that. It is the economy that those governmental systems are built on.

The question is not about them being an economic system. The question is are they the kind of economic system that promotes prosperity for all are they the kind that puts people into poverty.

Before you try to tell me this, I also know that capitalism can exist in even the strictest communist regimes. Commies have never been able to squash the black market.

I didn’t say socialism wasn’t an economic system, I said most of the world have market economies. We are living in the era of global capitalism.

Capitalism is chaotic and produces crime and poverty. The latter usually exacerbating the former.

The best way to kill markets is to abolish money, which no communist regime managed to accomplish ultimately. This would render money useless when goods are exchanged freely.

No. We are not. Many will argue that you cannot even have a free market and a government. And they are correct. The bigger the government the smaller the market.

When went from a mostly free market (when this nation was founded) to a corporatist market (when the Progressive infested this nation).

In the last few years we have migrated to a corporatist socialist market.

If you want a free market then government has to completely scale back its size and scope. All taxes must go. None whatsoever. Then we can be a free market.

While I think it is possible to practice markets in the absence of a state, capitalism and the state are inseparable.

I also don’t think our nation’s founding fits your definition of a free market either, unless slavery and reliance on tariffs are your idea of a free market.

What the hell is a “corporatist socialist market”? I don’t think there is such thing as a socialist corporation, unless it is nationalized and owned by the state. I don’t know if I can help you if you consider the U.S. to be socialist. I can say I am a socialist, and the U.S. is far from it.

In Socialism, workers control the means of production.

There is not a single Socialist country in the world nor has there ever have been one. Ever.

"Corporatist Socialist" is a contradiction in terms and total bs.

That's how socialism is sold. But it is never the worker who control anything. The workers are part of the collective and it is the central planners who make the decisions for the collective. That kind of power has always led to an authoritarian regime.

Not every country you think are socialists are actually socialists. Private property rights have to be taken on order for a nation to be socialist. And, no that is NOT just communist. Communism is based on socialism and the taking of private property rights is a part of both.

Corporate socialist describes businesses who perform the will of the government because the government can't get the support they want from the people. Examples are FascistBook, Twitter, Google and Amazon.

What always sounded like a contradiction to me is anarcho-communist.

We don't live in a free market. This nation used to be a mostly free market but we haven't been that since 1913. So who exactly was trying to kill you?

You never heard of the causes of the Civil War?

Yes I have. Economic was one of the central issue of the Civil War. The Southern states felt like they were being cheated and under represented so they wanted to form their own nation. The North was mostly opposed to slavery and the South wanted to continue it.

Oh, cheated, of what?

Yeah, getting their bigger share of the Industrial & Trading North's tax revenue fueled Socialist pie was a BIG incentive.
