the story was bad, because it had an agenda. You can hire better writers and write a story that really has an impact. Getting out of common tropes. It doesn't even have to be anything complex like a superhero or a genius inventor...It could also be like the movie pursuit of happiness. Just regular people overcoming their limits through perseverance. Pandering and looking down on people just makes them hate you.
