Scientists are human, and as such are prone to all the same weaknesses as those in other professions. They can consciously or even subconsciously have their work influenced by those who provide the funding for their work.

That's why peer review and free inquiry are critical when it comes to science, and the verification of any scientific hypothesis.

As the great Carl Sagan said: “The suppression of uncomfortable ideas may be common in religion or in politics, but it is not the path to knowledge, and there's no place for it in the endeavor of science."

That's why when the modern day leftist screams "follow the science" when somebody merely asks them to support their claims, they're engaging in the exact opposite of science. They're just too ignorant to realize it.

The practice of science was born in a Christian society. As society moves away from Christianity, science becomes corrupted & unreliable.

I hope you enjoyed having indoor plumbing. Your grandkids might not know what that is. Hope “progress” is worth it.

"Christianity is religious bullshit made up by people in a primitive society who didn't even know the earth wasn't flat."

Entirely false claim from an ignorant, hateful atheist. That the Earth was round was known by ancient Greeks, who even made a decent estimate of its circumference around 240 BC.

People as ignorant as you should learn to keep their mouths shut so they don't constantly humiliate themselves.

In the beginning God. Evidence for God's existence abounds throughout nature and all He created. Those who are open to seek Him will find Him. You can start by exploring "Intelligent Design". In my opinion it's irrefutable. Every time I walk through the forest I see God's hand.

Aging is intelligent design? A super nova is intelligent design? Mutations are intelligent design? Cancer is intelligent design? Death is intelligent design?
If the Gods made an afterlife, why die in the first place? Why not dispense with the mourning and funeral costs and just keep going?

“Prove me wrong. Show me your god.”

Will do. Just as soon as you show me white privilege and the patriarchy.

I didn’t ask you to show me a photograph. It’s easy to make up a “photograph” of something no one’s ever seen. I asked if you can show me an atom.

If you claimed you had a pegasus and I asked you to show me, and you showed me a picture, would you expect me to be convinced? Can you show me an atom? Can you show me white privilege?

You believe in all kinds of things you can’t demonstrate. You just don’t have sufficient self-awareness to understand this.

"That's not what you said. You said can I show you an atom,"

"I didn’t ask you to show me a photograph. . . . I asked if you can show me an atom."

That is exactly what I said. Why do you insist on telling such stupidly obvious lies?

I can't show *you* anything because you've already decided. You have willfully blinded yourself. You've made that quite clear.

And, as I said, you believe in all kinds of things you can't prove. You just lack the self-awareness to understand that and what that means.

Fine, you want evidence. God raised Jesus from the dead. That's a miracle. That's evidence.

"If someone said can you show me a tiger and I showed them a photograph of a tiger, most people would say I did what they asked. If they wanted me to show them a real live tiger in the flesh, they should specify that."

If the question was "Does such a thing as a tiger actually exist?" Then yes, that would be insufficient, and I think you know it.

" I'm asking for evidence of a god. You didn't present any."

Hey, remember your talk about "moving the goalposts"? It looks like you really do love it. That's not what you started out saying.

Actually, you seem like a really smart guy. Have you investigated true Biblical cosmology? It's a fascinating topic. A search of absolute evidence based truth may lead to unexplored rabbit holes.

Science goes somewhat farther back than the religion which used to burn proponents of scientific ideas as heretics at the stake.

Ah, got it. You have no actual knowledge of history. Which scientist did Christians burn at the stake? Be specific please.

Giordano Bruno was not executed because of his scientific beliefs. The rest of your list is almost certainly similarly garbage.

You shouldn't take the word of a fraud like Tyson. Grow up. Learn some actual history, you ignoramus.

It's hilarious how credulous you "skeptics" are.

Yeah, he wasn't. Just fairytales made for conniving party poopers to dupe the likes of your beleaguered self.

btw, the link I posted was a Catholic deflection one as well. You should have referred to it itself instead of looking up your fanfic links.
