Green energy that doesn't suck

It may not be considered green, but then again windmills and solar are no stewards of the environment either.

How many thousands of birds of the windmills killed? That never gets reported.

fossil kills more than wind.

wind is cheaper than nuclear.

solar is cheaper

Nuclear power seems to have fallen out of favor after Three Mile Island accident in 1979. Not many people would want to live near a nuclear reactor after what happened there.

Thorium reactors are much safer than uranium reactors. And thorium reactors do not produce bomb material.

Maybe, but no one lives next to ocean oil platforms either. Maybe we could build plants out there. The Navy has been using nuclear power on ships for many years, and very successfully. You could also build the plants out in the middle of nowhere, like in the West.

Build it near any of the watersheds, and you risk poisoning whole states. Put it near Native land and you're repeating the genocidal policies that are such a blot on our national history. There isn't a lot of "nowhere" to put such a hazardous power plant -- and that's before you consider its waste.

They already exist. I think my ocean plant idea is good anyway. Like I said, the US Navy has been doing it for over 50 years.
