You just have to know how to ask. According to most of the users here it seems, saying "upvote this please" is upvote begging but saying "make this non meme picture popular please" isn't. I guess it's all about wording. This is the secret to getting upvotes for doing literally nothing.

I used to think GokuDrip wasn’t begging, but I finally opened my eyes when he kept doing it over and over again. Turns out he was doing it all along.

His original post wasn't even a meme. It was definitely begging all along. He's treating Imgflip like his Facebook timeline now. He got lucky with one post and now he keeps posting pictures of himself hoping to get the same outcome. Shit of it is he's getting the attention he wants again, people are just blindly upvoting him because they recognize him.
