Wrong. Leftists have always sought to control others, and they have always been anti-God. The people who fought against slavery were Christians. Leftists have never in history been the good guys.

To be honest, and you should be, it was the way of life 200 years ago. Hell, even Black people owned Black slaves back then(yeah, I know you don't believe me, but hey, just look it up). It wasn't a Christian thing and had nothing to do with the Bible. Oh, and that peculiar institution was brought over by the bloody Brits.

By defintion and since origin, Leftists have always sought liberty (hence the term, "Liberal," get it?), equality, progress.
If it wasn't for them, we'd all still be subjects - basically property - of the British Crown.

Rightists are synonymous with conservative because they want to - now try to follow me here - CONSERVE the status quo, the ways of old, tradition. Top heavy rule, authoritarianism, regimented hierarchy... that is what they stand for.
They have a disdain for any sort of change because that would upset their limited and ossified world view. Slavery of some level, whether as chattel, lower classes, or even to being born into the upper classes or royalty which in themselves are limiting in freedom to choose to do what may be outside of their role, is considered part of the natural order.

Rightists fight against change.

False. Liberals are not leftists. Liberals believe in free market capitalism, limited help for the needy, and constitutional government.
Leftists belive in forced socialism, communism, or fascism which are all different flavors of totalitarianism. They believe the ends justify the means and would gladly reinstate slavery if it put them back in charge.
