It did happen and has been in the news.

The article actually concludes with her gratitude for the act of kindness and willingness to make amends. Just that one act of kindness doesn't undo the damage of this country. Is it particularly well-written? No. It does come off as petty but you have an opportunity here to see her point of view and instead you continue to condemn.

It is a bit like a food critic seeing a waiter spitting into everyone's food. Then when that waiter serves the food critic; he tells her he made sure that her food wasn't spit on. Are you to expect the food critic to leave a good review?

The part I disagree with is when she clearly negatively calls them “staunch partisans of blue lives” and then asks all these questions. Are they just doing it because I’m white? Is this them only helping out their own? *Gasp* Hezbollah and Nazis helped out their own too. Is this their way of buying loyalty in the same way? I find it hard to take someone seriously when they spout that off then try to end it with a pretend message of unity.

I don’t think asking for them to acknowledge the mistakes of the Trump administration is asking for much.
