I'm actually Canadian. I've watched the American political system over the past almost 50 years and I couldn't agree more with your points. In particular, I think we both agree that politics has become less about the people and more about the campaign and keeping a job. And yes, there are assholes on both sides. My personal issue with Trump is that he was never in office for any other reason than to make his brand a bigger thing. Now nobody is without fault; but I will say that regardless of political side and subtracting the muckraking and name calling from the situation, I believe Biden truly has the best interest of the people in his heart. And I believe that real bipartisanship has nothing to do with sides of the house, but what the president stands for, for every person and not just those who can get him votes. The proof will be in the pudding, but as an outside observer watching both sides unfold I would only suggest that the people give him a chance and see what happens. Face it... things can't get much worse, can they?
