Reposts and politics are already unwelcome on the fun stream. This is so we can end quarrels on the front page. And to solve the problem, Imgflip created a separate stream for politics and a separate stream for reposts.

And now since upvote begging seems to be a bigger threat than either one on the fun stream (this is debatable), I would like to propose that we make that unwelcome like the others. There are several other streams where you can upvote beg freely. Please go there.

I agree. I only beg for upvotes on the begging for upvotes stream, and I'm quite happy with that. That being said, I don't see to many upvote beggars ruining the creativity of the fun stream, I think the problem is over exaggerated.

Offensiveness and destruction are two different things.
More and more upvote beggars are making it on the front page, often getting thousands of upvotes.
This is destroying the front page, sucking the integrity, creativity, and fun out of the stream that is supposed to promote those very things.

It wouldn’t completely get rid of them, but making them illegal on the fun stream would be a big step in stopping them from getting to places where they shouldn’t be (like the front page).

No, there has been a rise of begging memes in the recent months. Believe me, it didn’t start with you. But cometh the hour, cometh the man. I was the one who began to call them out. I did also have help, but sadly many of my former helpers are long gone.

Reposts aren’t allowed on the fun stream.
Politics aren’t allowed on the fun stream.
Why? Because they’re controversial. And there are streams for both.

And this is very possible to apply with begging memes.

I see you take this subject seriously. But I use creativity when on that upvote stream. How one expresses oneself is still creativity, it's not like all begging memes get the same number of upvotes. Creativity and cleverness is upvoted, no matter the subject matter.

And I’d like to point out that a lot of begging memes on the front page don’t do anything. They just type: “when you realize upvoting gives you points” or “My meme will get 2 upvotes”

2. there are literally over 500 pages of memes, or maybe 300 still that's a lot of pages. and I've been through them all.

i dont make as many memes anymore because i don't have any GOOD meme ideas. so i just look at memes every week (thats normally how long it takes for fresh new memes to get on the front page)
