That's awesome! I saw a headline a day or two ago where GMC says that their entire fleet will be electric by 2035.
The mess that California's grid is in it will never hold up. You won't be able to charge up your car unless your entire roof is covered in solar and you have about 4 windmills on your property.
So, I can see the fact that these vehicles would be more quiet and would have lower sound and heat signatures, but c'mon man, where would you recharge in remote areas?
You will need to use Hydrogen fuel cells to generate electricity and this at present would be the most likely method but it does require a supply of hydrogen to run them or otherwise someone to develop another practical method of extracting hydrogen from water in great enough quantities.
Also, correction to my last, I just realized that I said more quiet and lower sound, which is the same thing. I meant to say that electrics have lower exhaust signatures which can be good on the battlefield.
