I wish what you said could be true. Except the beggars and reposters who made it to the front page didn’t get ignored in the first place. So when all they receive is support and positive feedback for bad memes, there’s nothing keeping them from doing it again.

Well, no, because users can’t see downvotes and they don’t provide context for why it happened. A comment does.

Ignore the beggars and reposts. In many cases, the reposts are not even intentional. Or perhaps there is some catch and twist that we don't notice. You don't see any racism or hate because they are not verified and posted in the first place. Still, in some very rare cases, they get posted cuz the mods are really busy and it's only natural that they might accidentally verify a meme that directly/indirectly spreads racism, hate, casteism, etc. That's what I'm trying to convey.

But it’s still a repost, intentional or not. When people say my meme is a repost, I actually do some research to find if it actually is (and as it turned out, it was true on occasion).

So you’re saying that in a very unlikely scenario, a mod will mistakenly feature a “racist” or “hate” (that’s a strong word what does that mean?) meme. And then in an even less likely scenario, it will get upvoted by people. An then in an even less likely scenario it will make it to the front page without being marked NSFW or being taken down by a mod.

So why on earth are these things a problem if it’s so unlikely? It is more likely for a beggar to make it to the fun stream, and this is not a good thing.
