Just wait until Mister Magoo imposes his ban on fracking. Jobs are already hard to come by here in West Texas due to the China virus and the last crash, but some service companies are still up and running. If he imposes this ban he will effectively kill an economy that depends on the oilfield. And all because...why? Because some people who can’t do basic math think they can run my life better than I can.

It's only 1000 jobs lost in the US in the construction of the pipeline, we have no refineries in the west, that is our problem, we are shipping to texas for refineing. Everyone just needs a reason to be pissed at biden

no one can really quantify the number of jobs when the project first started. it has also leaked like 9 times, not in Canada, but here.

There are thousands of miles of pipelines already in existance, and yeas , leaks happen occasionally, here in Canada aswell, but overall a safer, cleaner and economic method of transport, we don't need another Lac-Mégantic. The estimate was 1000 jobs lost on the US side during the construction phase, they know this cuz it's not their first pipeline. Same amount of jobs lost here in Canada. The oil is still being transported via rail.

With pipelines however, they can be shut down at the various pumping stations along the way. BP went on for weeks and the Valdez ran aground and emptied. All is horrible, but Lac-Megantic took lives.
