It's actually another bible. She had to double down on her religious hypocrisy at such a pivotal moment in US history... oops, herstory.

Don't get me wrong, as a Taxifornia resident I've watched her rise over the years with sadness, and horror. She's as close to a purely evil politician as I've ever seen. And, she's one frail heartbeat away from becoming the first socialist president of the United States, unfortunately.

Hmm, if it's just another Bible, why would she hide it in a bookcover? Unless its's something else. And why wouldn't she want to prove to the American people that she's willing to step into the high honored position with all the traditions that it entails? It looks like she's being sneaky and deceitful. Kinda like the equivalent of lying while crossing your fingers behind your back...

Lots of people have their Bibles in zip up protectors. ABC explained the two Bible reasoning, but I could not care less to remember.

The real question is; why do we hold so fast to the tradition of swearing an oath over a book that says not to swear oaths?!

I don't know what specific verse you are referring to, but people took oaths all the time in biblical days. I think what it meant is to not take an oath in anyone else's name other than the Lord. Here's one example-

You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name. - Deuteronomy 10:20

Good point. I can't argue that. Those are the words of Jesus. I guess we hold fast to that tradition because nobody's word can be trusted unless we have them say it in front of God and his word.
