Hate to break it to you, but Hitler actually imprisoned Socialists and Communists for being Socialist/Communist. Hitler was part of the NSDAP, but he only made it fascist when he was on top. He said that he must appear socialist to appeal to the working classes. And finally, Hitler put gays in his showers, something no progressive (even at the time) would do. Not to mention the fact that he supported the rapid expansion of the military, yet another thing that characterizes the far right. Now, of course, Hitler and Stalin were very similar, like all extremists, but that, good friend, is a story for another time.

The only difference between Fascism and Socialism and Communism is that it drops the pretense that the people own anything. It clearly states the government owns the means of production.

Hitler was a National Socialist. That makes him a lefty. Just because you confuse the Nationalism part or equate the totalitarian part to facism. As we see Stalin was a totalitarian and a leftist. Not really. I think you have just been viewing the right as the liberal right. There is also an authoritarian right. The reason Hitler, Stalin ad Mao are so similar is that they were assholes, authoritarian and extremists. At the end of the day, all extremists are the same.

Also, didn't you read that part when I said that Hitler himself said that he must identify as a socialist to take power (because his opponents were communists, so he had to appear less extreme, but extreme enough to gain the people's support)
