When I was a kid there wasn't the internet to view pictures of women in bikinis, but we could buy the sports illustrated swimsuit edition without showing ID. I don't see how your boob memes are any more risque than that magazine. We also had the sears catalog with the bra and underwear section that was freely mailed to peoples houses (oof that sounds pathetic). Is it a requirement that memes have a funny joke in them? Plenty of memes are not funny in anyway, see The Think Tank.

Indeed, the kinds of memes you see on ImgFlip are the equivalent of sexy catalogs. They aren’t even “softcore porn” if you define that as being nude pics without sexual activity, since nudity isn’t allowed here. (By nudity I mean depictions of genitalia and female nipples; whether a meme of a woman with no clothes on that doesn’t show her junk is allowed seems to be a question capable of being resolved either way)

Yeah, memes can convey every human thought or emotion, from humor to beauty to anger to philosophy to politics to awe of nature to yes, sexiness.

The idea memes should be about “humor” only strikes me as a very old-school outlook on memeing. Not sure why we need to pigeonhole ourselves.

(And at least one of the people who suggested as such is VERY unfunny and consistently spiteful toward others, so they don’t even follow their own advice)
