Do you mean Infection Fatality Rate (IFR - the percent of all infected who die)? 1.8 billion world population in 1918. One third of population infected is 600 million. Approximately 17 million died. 17M dead / 600M infected = 2.83% IFR. In other words, of all the people who contacted Spanish Flu, 97.17% lived.
