I imagine the state will feed him one way or another. He’ll lose his house, his job, he’ll become homeless. And if he still can’t find food, he may break the law, if he hasn’t already done so for failing to pay overdue bills. And then the prisons will feed him.

I actually said he has one and still couldn't pay for utilities. That's kind of their point.

Speaking to as someone who worked to get what I got, I owned my first house when I was 27. And finally paid off my first mortgage at 45 without needing to pay a second one.

The minimum wage was always suppose to be used to pay for home, utilities, and bare necessities at the very least. And that was just when there was one man working to pay for his family. Sure, a minimum pay job isn’t suppose to pay for a family, but there are a lot of dead end jobs now that prevent people from earning enough to simply pay for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment or starter house.

That is bullshit.

I don’t think that’s true that it was just for teenagers and unskilled workers. But let’s say it is.

Let’s say you are unskilled on top of having to pay for housing, utilities, and necessities...you’re also going to school.

How are you suppose to advance exactly?

The answer is, many don’t.

You can argue about the negative effects of raising the minimum wage all the live long day but it doesn’t erase the fact that many people are struggling to pay and all they can get is minimum wage jobs.

And if more people cannot spend money, eventually there will a tipping point and they’ll think socialism is better than what they have which to them, is nothing.

We should raise the minimum wage. There will always be inflation with or without the minimum wage being raised. To not raise it is gross economic negelice.
