The thing about liberals is not all want to ban guns. I am a liberal and I love guns. I am not old enough to own or buy one yet but when I get old enough I will. The thing is we want more gun control so bad people can’t get guns.

The thing is, criminals do not follow laws, no matter how many laws you make it will never stop criminals from getting them. If not from straw buyers , they get them from black markets dealings. The more laws you make only make it harder and more expensive for legal law abiding citizens to own a firearm.

there are no military grade guns in the hands of civilians , military grade are fully automatic and are basically outlawed unless you have a special license that costs thousands of dollars to get. I mean , when you start to get into the debate of what you think people need and don't need, that is a slippery slope , because then what happens when the government decides you don't need soda pop, or pizza? Or beer? Or the government decides what kind of car you don't need? Maybe they don't want you to have a fast car or a sporty car cause you are young, we in America have the right to own things we want, and it happens that guns are something that is actually guaranteed to every American, because it has the fundamental ability to protect you and your family.

Im in Chicago ( just to give you a real life experience situation ) my background check to be a CC holder was 8 months, made sure I had no felonies and no mental health issues that I had to stay in a mental ward for, made sure I had no severe criminal background that might suggest I use guns to commit crimes.. I had to pay 1000 dollars for the license and two 8 hour safety classes.. does that sound like a good enough background check to you?

Yes we have a criminal problem but the USA has 13,000 gun homocides vs 18,000 total. Now if we took guns out of the equation we obviously wouldn’t have 5,000 homocides bcs as u said we have a criminal problem and if a person wants to hurt u they black but we would see a decrease in homocides and also accidental gun related deaths

Good , but let us look at the crime states in a different way, if you removed Chicago, Detroit, LA, and Cleveland, the gun crime rate drops by 80% , but these cities have some of the strictest gun laws . Also , you mentioned banning rifles correct? Most gun crimes are committed with handguns, only about .06 % of crimes involve a rifle .
