WWII did. Know who brought the US into WWII? FDR. His New Deal policies helped millions. He was so popular he got elected 4 times and they had to impose term limits. That's how great he was.

The war did end it, but FDR is not the entire reason we went in. America was trying to stay neutral and we were provoked with the Pearl Harbor bombing. Any president with sense would have entered the war.

Avoiding what? I said the war ended it. And I am not completely sure the New Deal was helpful. I’ve seen some things suggesting it wasn’t. I have always believed it was helpful toward ending the Great Depression until this year, when i saw how they’re dealing with Covid.
And other presidents could have been elected 4 times and chose not to. That doesn’t make him the greatest.

I’m referring to before FDR.
And no I am not. I said the way people are handling Covid made me suspicious that the New Deal was handled this way too. You see, Democrats have been fighting solutions to Covid all year so they can say Trump mishandled it. When biden is in office, then they can just solve it and blame it all on Trump.
I already know the Civil Rights movement was more of a manipulation than a help. And I don’t know enough about the New Deal, but I am suspicious of it too. What I do know about the New Deal, however, is that it involved minimum wage, which always comes from somewhere. So that is already not good.

And 2) the higher minimum wage is, the more people are fired and the less people are hired. Minimum wage only helps the people on the highest of a job’s totum pole. But it’ll decrease jobs and people hired, making more people out of work. If you really care about the poor, this jacks them over.

The money comes from... the people on top of the totem pole. They can afford to pay their workers more. Anyone saying otherwise is actively spreading misinformation or believe in it. Companies still need workers. Why would they just fire some when they need to pay them more? Why then hire them in the first place if paying them 5$ more in an hour makes them cost more than they produce?

The people on the top of the totem pole (first off, I meant the highest paid workers) would leave and find better jobs if their pay got cut. I have seen this happen before.
And business owners will want to keep their best workers and yet keep the income they make. Business people will not let themselves be shafted, even if the government does things to shaft them. That’s why raising taxes jacks over the middle class; everything becomes more expensive and they have to pay more. And the same here. The business owners will not hire as many people if it means their income gets cut. They’re very adaptable.
Because $5 more an hour adds up pretty quick. If you have 500 employees that work 10 hours, that becomes $25,000 extra per day. In a month that is $750,000. In 6 months that is $4,500,000, and in just one year that is $9,000,000 extra money you’re paying to employees. Which means the owners will cut people out to ensure this does not happen. Not every business has the money to just throw around like this.

More workers, more productivety. And why would the most paid workers get paid less???
