I often call people I know by their last name,(Unless I know them for a long time) and I have 0 clue why

When I was in, 3rd grade I think, I used to eat the corners of paper. It had to be composition notebook paper. And I also put coins and bobi-pins in my mouth since I liked the taste of metallic stuff. I was a weird kid.
