I said something like, "People don't really get Communism. Communism is not wrong, it's political leaders that use it's name to get in power. So once we employ real Communism, everything's going to get better. And you can't prove this wrong because real Communism has never been employed. While Democracy has failed in many countries, it is history that has proven Democracy wrong."

they think every other system is garbage because Capitalism has been used by America for pretty much ever

Most people who believe in Capitalism don't even understand what it is and what it does. Yeah they know it's a free market and less government control but this allows huge companies to be created and this makes a huge imbalance of wealth. For example Amazon which has killed thousands of companies, it is basically a Monopoly. Socialism is a bit more controlled but you get free healthcare and other coverages. Socialism has a more fair balance of wealth though your taxes are higher you get free costs on other things. Such as healthcare, this system works well in keeping people happy and usually requires a more liberal/open society. Communism is a government controlled system where everything is give to people and the system provides for everyone. The issue in this is that some people feel limited and not in control because Communist countries usually aren't democracies. Overall Communism makes a perfect balance in wealth though you don't get free market or commerce.
