You can leave a capitalist country, but the socialist ones are always keeping people in.

The rich get richer the poor get richer. See over time the extreme poverty almost completely goes away in capitalist countries.

I think that if I dont like how a country is being run, I should have the right to leave. Capitalism allows this. Socialism often doesn’t.

I agree. My point is they don't do it for population reasons, but because they want the non-idiots to keep laying the golden eggs that keep the population from starving, as they would otherwise.

Yeah, i would have gotten outta there too. I read biographies from survivors of dictatorships and stuff like that, and I can tell when a dictatorship is coming or when people are trying to start one.

Communism does this to. Just look at North Korea.

Agreed that North Korea is a scary evil place that bases its authoritarian regime on Communism. It doesn't represent the communist ideal any better than someone who shoots abortion providers represents Christianity.

A lot of those places have to fight to keep their people in, though. Unless everyone’s too poor to leave. Also the basis of communism is man playing the role of God. It is a total dictatorship. It’s often appealing to the young because they don’t have a big perspective on finance yet, or don’t know how the government works. Thomas Sowell was a Marxist until he realized the government couldn’t even do what Marxism tries to accomplish.
