It's ironic that Trump's pardons will prevent a lot of his criminal cronies from going to jail on federal charges, but no one will save HIM from going to jail on the New York Attorney General and Manhattan DA state charges.

It is possible that people who have "blank check," pardons will be ruled to have no Fifth Amendment protections against self incrimination. Those people could be legally compelled to testify against Trump, if they have knowlege of crimes committed by him or are co-conspitaors.
