Almost every infected person isn't even aware they have it, so I think most age groups can do without until later. Elderly people on the other hand have a much higher risk of dying

Can you make your own bullets and gas too?

I've got plenty of ammo on hand and yes, I have reloading supplies after that. I've also got bows & arrows and know how to make arrows.

Gas is a bit trickier. I know how to make a still. Really don't think that it will come down to gas production being shut off, but I can survive without a vehicle as well.
