Laziness mostly.

1. They don’t work if people don’t wear them
2. Masks don’t stop the spread, they slow the spread and even if you do catch it you will get a milder case
3. Masks don’t do all the work, you also need social distancing and sanitization

(I’m not into arguing online so don’t be surprised if I don’t respond to your reply, if you make your reply polite and logical I may stick around longer)

They don't work probably because they're meant to protect people from being exposed to the wearer, and people like you refuse to wear them and proceed to get other people sick.

But if the mask and social distancing work, how would OP get others doing that sick?

If lockdowns work, why is it happening again?
If lockdowns don't work, why do it again?

Why destroy small businesses and increase drug addiction, alcoholism, social anxiety and suicide for a virus 99.9 recover from? Why not just lockdown those actually at risk, over 70 with other health defects?

Masks don't work to protect the wearer, they protect other people from the wearer. I can work for 8 hours at work and wear my mask the whole time, but if one exposes idiot comes in without a mask he'd still infect us all. Less "my body, my choice," more "your body, your cboice." This was literally taught in highschool bio.

Lockdown did nothing because it wasn't a freaking lockdown? That's like... super simple logic, dude. What they coulda done was let everyone prepare, then shut EVERYTHING down for two weeks, including freeze payments and bills so no one goes broke.

By the way, the virus has anywhere from a 3-5% death rate, and people recover, but the majority of those people, no matter how healthy they were before, will end up suffering from many health conditions. A lot of people ended up being hospitalized again because of Kidney issues, Heart issues, Respiratory issues, and blood clots because the virus is barbed and literally tears through people's systems and makes it very difficult to heal. My sis's boss, a perfectly health 28-year-old got sick with Covid in March. He is STILL so weak 8 months later that he hasn't gone back to work. So, ya know, guess businesses will collapse anyway when people can't work.

So you don't care about the 265,000 people that have died, but you care about the miniscule number of people who have died because of lockdown?

By the way, even if it only had a 1% death rate, if everyone in the U.S. got sick with Covid, a highly infectious disease that has mutated to be EVEN MORE INFECTIOUS, a minimum of 3 MILLION people would die, and far more would still be suffering from symptoms and health issues. You wanna talk about destroying the economy and small businesses?

Also, it's not just people over 70 who are at risk, buddy. Everyone who has a bad health risk regardless of age is at risk. And because the relief system is so shoddy, people will still be charged thousnads in hospital bills if they so much as LOOK like they have a health condition. My entire family is immunocompromised with health risks, and if I end up bringing it home because and idiot like you who doesn't do their research infects me at my work, well...

There's also literally no reason to weear a mask in a car unless you're at a drive through or you're with someone that you don't want to expose.

Maybe try to do research before spouting like you know everything about the literal pandemic we're in that's been made worse by people like you.
