The first condition, I suggest, is that he agrees to not run for political office, again. The second is that he allocute in a closed hearing, all Federal crimes committed from 2015-2020. The record of this hearing would be sealed for 25-years. Little, other than a sense of revenge, would be gained from putting him on trial. It would entrench his followers and reinforce the partisan divisions that plague us.

That would be a terrible mistake. 1) it would show that trump is above the law and 2) that future presidents can push the limit even more. Trump scammed so many people over the years that he needs to be held accountable. That whole trump university scam would've landed anyone in jail. The Access Hollywood tape would've gotten most people fired.

I felt the same as most of you do. But, I thought about four years of putting all of our energy into getting things fixed or years of publicly reliving the nightmare of the Trump Administration.

Remember, this would not be an unconditional pardon like Nixon got. This would be an imperfect way of moving on. I was obsessed with his wrongdoings. The only thing I am obsessed with now is fixing what he broke.

By the way, this pardon would not apply to state laws or civil lawsuits. The State of New York would be free to "put him away." And, the various people he has wronged could sue him.
