socialism is in democracy already. Healthcare is socialist, as is social security. Would you rather have a community in which you have to pay 500 dollars for healthcare, or get the basic version for free? Same thing with social security. Socialism is enforced by the gun. "Free" healthcare is enforced by the government. You can only do 2 out of 3 things when it comes to "Free" Healthcare, and this has been shown many times. Quality, quantity, and affordability, I pay for mine and will continue to do so as nothing in this world is free. This guarantees doctors will be doctors for money and drive more into the medical field. When you make the rate of a doctor the same as a teacher than you will see less medical professionals. Free healthcare would be great if all 3 points will be present, but with 300+million to cover, US cant do it. Also you would have to refine some other positions if you want to make a more logical arguement. Such policies would include immigration.
